Maintenance of personal dental hygiene is essential to lead a healthy lifestyle and the maintenance of personal oral hygiene usually begins with brushing of the teeth regularly. After the introduction of the electric toothbrushes there were a number of brands available in the electric and manual toothbrushes in the market. Electric toothbrushes have become cheap in the years as the popularity of this product grew sharply. The popularity of the sonic toothbrushes considerably a new breed of electric toothbrushes claiming to have great cleaning potential, is at the rise. The brush head of such toothbrushes have the capacity of creating approximately 40000 brush strokes per minute, enabling secondary cleaning action through the use of fluid dynamics without physically touching the teeth surface.
